450–615
additional votes
A planning range for the lower and upper growth scenarios.
- Current gap
- 350 votes
- Projected leader at closing
- 1,000–1,150
- Your total target, with buffer
- 1,100–1,265
- Your votes already counted
- 650
A planning estimate. Actual final counts may fall outside the range.
How the calculation works
Project the leader’s votes to closing, add the buffer, then subtract your current votes. The target is at least one vote above the projected leader.
Use your own figures to carry a calculated target into your quote.
WHAT THE RESULT MEANS
From the current gap
to a closing target.
For each growth scenario, the calculator projects the leader’s count to closing, adds your buffer and subtracts the votes you already have. It always targets at least one vote above the projected leader.
Example: the leader has 1,000 votes, you have 650, three days remain and you allow for 0–50 new leader votes per day. With a 10% buffer, the target is 1,100–1,265 total votes, or 450–615 additional votes.
Use counts from the same round. Percentages alone, ratings, donation rounds and public-vote/judges’ combinations need the organiser’s scoring rules. The calculator works with the figures you enter; it does not read a live leaderboard.
